Our Selection & Processing
Our mantel selection begins with only the best 4- to 10-foot sections of beams, carefully chosen with minimal to no pockets or tailored to your preference. We ensure that each beam is solid and bug-free.
To prepare our mantels, we power wash, heat-treat them for insects, and brush-sand the surfaces. Finally, we mill the back flat to fit flush against a wall and sand the top and ends for ease of cleaning and to allow the beautiful end grain of the old-growth lumber to shine through.
